it can be really confusing but it depends on the look you are going for.
if you want a natural look but really gorgeous eyes buy a white eye pencil and put a small v on the v of your eyes nearest your nose with some brown mascara this should make your eyes look much larger
everything else takes practise and knowing what sort of look you want marieclare has some good tips though so have a look on the website
hope this helps
ps. with your colouring you should be able to wear almost any colours but i would leave alone pinks and blues xxx
never use anything that is close to your eye color it will make your eye ';dissapear'; into the makeup
instead use the opposite color to your eye.. for example ppl with blue eyes look great in earth tones like brown, and ppl with brown eyes look great in pastel colors like purple and pink..this will make your eye really ';pop';
depending on your eyeshape depends on where to put the eyeliner usually stariting from the outter corner to 1/2 to
3/4 of the way in never going all the way to the inner corner b/c that will make your eye appear smaller.
always remember less during the day and if your going out you can put it on a little heavier.
always apply a light color all over the lid up to the brow 1st then the middle color on the lid and the darkest color to the crease--- thats the basic but again it depends on your eye shape you can go to your local salon or spa for a makeup lesson that will show you what is best for you... never use colored eyeliner of mascara for that stick with browns and blacks... oh and if you apply a lid primer 1st it will help the eyeshadow stay on longer... hope this helps :) i almost forgot, when your finished applying your eyeshadow apply just a little bit of the lightest color on the inner corner of you lid this will also give your eye a more open look
you can make your eyes stand out by..
shaping and defining your eyebrows
hi-lighting the browline
using eyeliner on the outer upper edge of your eye from the middle to the outside end of your eye (and the bottom just a little if you wish)
use mascara on the top and bottom eyeslashes
use a little colour on the lid to give your look a little oomph
hope ths helped :)
i have been told i have beautiful eyes, and to be quite honest. i have smack dead lovely eyes, if i might say so myself. but it all depends on what you want. if you want eyes that stand out, put your eyeliner on top of your eyes, and on the top liner of your eyes, but only half way to the middle of the top liner of your eye....put it on the bottom liner of your eyes, and smear it just barley under your eyes. i put on a very pretty shade of beige (almost) and make sure it sparkles(a little not to much) it'll change the color of your eyeshadow where it touches your eyeliner. put the light beige on the top lid over the liner , and then get th next step up shade beige and put it in the middle of your lid, then put a white-ish/beige right under your eyebrow.
EYELINER

i use a really bright or metalic eyeliner on my top lids when i want a strong result. i smudge black/grey under and over for 'smoky-eyes' lol.
use almay eyshadows for ur eye color they make ur eyes stand out dont use 2 much eyeliner
use eyeliner on the lid of ur eyes on the lash liner
go to http://www.beinggirl.com/en_US/pages/fun鈥?/a>
u can practice putting on eyeshadow (helps alot!)
cant go wrong with light and dark grey or bronze just put it on heavier for evenings
Eye liner is put on top and bottom as near to lashes as posible put your lighter colour grey at top do a good line of it in the eye sockets half way up,but just keep playing until you get a look you like
liner
I always use eyeliner on the bottom
MAscara on the top and bottom a
I usually put eyeshadow on the top of my eyelid and some in the outsude corners..
Have fun and experiment
ok, if u want to make your eyes really stand out, use the exact opposite color of your actual eye color. so if you have green eyes use gold, if you have blue eyes use a deep purple, if you have brown eyes use a greener color. u want to get the corner of ur eye, the cheek bone on the side and right below the brow. u should mix colors to get the best shimmery effect. make sure that the spots i listed are not caked on, u only need a couple strokes. your darkest spot should be the crease of your eye. now eyeliner is harder because you really need to look at your skin tone. if you have paler skin, use a brown color. if you have tan skin use eggplant and dark skin black. on the top lid put it right on the lash line. on the bottom lid put it above the lash line so it will not give a dark effect. then use a mascara that lengthens ur lashes and then use black to darken them for a day out sexy look!
Really you need to just try out lots of different things and decide what suits you. You can't always just go by colouring - there are subtle differences. Try going to the body shop and getting a makeover - they're great! (and they dont test on animals)
I've found that using eyeliner all along the top lid and then only from the outter corner to the middle of your eye on the bottom (getting thinner as it goes out from the corner) makes your eyes look bigger- which is a good thing! Anthing you can do to make your eyes look bigger is excellent because it's been scientifically shone that humans are attracted to bigger eyes because they mean health and innocence, like a child. Eyeliner all the way around the eye is very artificial-looking and it actually creates the illusion of smaller eyes. Big no no!
Also, taking a light-catching eyeshaddow that's a shade or two lighter than your skin and has just the TINIEST hint of a glitter base, and putting it right at the inner corners of your eyes- beside the nose- also makes the eyes look bigger. You have to smooth it over so that it doesn't look like there's makeup there, and blend it in with the shadow over your top lids and smooth it a little bit under your bottom lids, not reaching where the eyeliner stops. (And remember- the eyeliner must stop at the middle of your eye, where your eye is the fullest!)
I also drag my eyeliner out and up just a TINY bit at the outer ends to create the illusion of longer lashes. When done propperly, it looks very natural. You'll have to experiment with that because it's different for different eye shapes and it took me a long time to figure it out.
Black eyeliner is good if you have dark features (still, use sparingly), but if you have pale features I would use a dark brown or blue eyeliner. Blue eyeliner can make blue eyes pop!
Mascara should be thicker on the outter corners of the eyes, thinner as you get to the inner corner. The outside should always be darker and the inside should always be lighter. It makes you look healthy and exotic.
Hope that helped a little!
When I'm doing my make-up I always tend to use pale colours. My eyes are big and very dark so I tend to be able to get away with lots of eye liner. I put my eyeliner on the bottom and the tom on the insides (not underneath my lashes, but above) I use Miss Sporty eyeliner pencil in black, it's the best i've come across and you can pick it up for a couple of quid from Superdrug. Rimmel, Maxfactor, Maybeline all seem rather crap. If you've got very light eyes, like yours.... then stick to the ';less is more'; look. If you use lots of black, then you'll drown out your lovely bluey eyes. Try with your eyeline, only going halfway along your eyes (above your bottom lashes) this will make them look defined and make your eyes look more longer :) I use L'oreal Architect Mascara, and I think it's the best, it's rather pricey at about 8 or 9 quid, and sometimes you can get rather good bargains at Superdrug if you keep your eyes out (pardon the pun) But it makes your lashes look fantastic, long, thick and it lasts!! (they do it in waterproof, which is even better!), which means you can get away with the 'less is more'. Contrast your eyeshadows (keeping the darker shade on the outside of your lids, and blend it into a ligher shade) this will make your eyes look more 'catty'....!
Just experiment with your makeup and you'll come across a style that you like and you know suits you :) Hope this helps hun,! :D xx
ck out website for the fashion mags, Allure.com always has great makeup and hair tips with pics, videos and slide shows. that will help you stay up with the current eye make-up trends and techniques.
For day you want to go light. I use alot of neutrals: browns, taupes, goldtones and throw in some eggplants or teals depending on what I'm wearing. I almost always use 3 shades or colors: lightest on brow bone, mid color on lid and dark in the crease. Or lighest on the brow bone dark in the outer half or the crease and a contrasting lighter color in the inner half of the crease (ie teal on the inner part, golden brown on the outer. It sounds weird but looks phenomenal) Brown or black eyeliner only on the upper lids looks best for day but alot of girls rim their whole eye in liner. That makes your eyes look smaller!!
For night I like to use power or liquid liner (powder will be in cake form just like eyeshadow). after your other eye makeup is on use a liner brush to put black or super dark purple liner on the top lids, thickening the line at the the outer corner and line the bottom lashes to the middle of your eye, then smudge lightly to soften. Use greys and blues for a really modern smoky eye--I like to use eggplants and purples which really makes your eyes pop. Then two coats of mascara. Allure.com has great smoky eye tips.
To make eyes really pop use a highlighting powder on the inside corners of eyes. Use a brush to sweep over brow bone and down into the corners very lightly. This looks especially great with heavier eyeliner since it really brightens the eye and with heavy eyeliner you don't want to go overboard on color shadow. Just don't really want to see the highlighter, just want some shimmer when the light catches it.

What are some Tips for keeping your eye healthy?
my eye tends to get dry and I put eye drops onWhat are some Tips for keeping your eye healthy?
Strain and tension squeezes our eyes out of shape and give us blurry vision. In order to see clearly through artificial corrections(glasses, contacts, surgery) we have to maintain that effort on our eyeballs. This squelches circulation to our eyes and reduces their ability to pick up nutrients and get red of wastes.
One of the best ways to keep our eyes healthy is to return to natural perfect eyesight by unlearning the incorrect vision habits, reintegrating the correct vision behaviors, and undoing the damage of artificial corrections and blurr.
We can help dry eyes by learning how to yawn. Yawning brings natural tears. Yawning also increases circulation in the head and pumps cerebral spinal fluid. As we practice yawning, we can bring tears when we need them. What are some Tips for keeping your eye healthy?

Tips on disguising and healing a black eye?
For starters I am female. I got hit in the face 2days ago and now have an unbelievably obvious black eye. Its still REALLY dark and I have to see my grandma tomorrow and go out with friends on the weekend.
Im trying my hardest to reduce the swelling with ice packs and face towels drenched in cold water, sleeping with my head raised, im just having an enormously hard time covering it up (even with makeup) and need to get it to heal ASAP.Tips on disguising and healing a black eye?
There's a cream called hirudoid, which helps to heal bruising, otherwise, just be cool about it. Faces heal quickly.Tips on disguising and healing a black eye?
Why are you trying to hide it? Let it show and maybe you'll get the help you need.
Yes it usually fades to yellowish tinges after awhile. Just keep putting ice on it and it should fade within a week.
IF it has been more than 24 hours since the injury switch over from the ice packs to a warm moist soak for the bruising. A wash cloth with really warm water placed over the are will open the blood vessles and help clear out the bruise. If you are able to take asprin, that will also help since asprin will thin the blood and make it easier to get the bruise out as well. The rest is time.
try not breathin heavy through your nose. DO NOT BLOW YOUR NOSE. This pressure cause they black eye to puff out heaps.
It will calm down after 5 days. now worries.
Leave it alone, let it rest as much as possible, don't touch it
Sorry, there is no way to cover it up (or make it heal faster) without someone looking at you twice and figuring out you have a blackeye.
Ice will only help the swelling but it will not get rid of the blood trapped under the skin (which is why it is dark). You have to wait for your body to absorb it.
Don't try to hide it, just make up some ridiculous story about fighting off a stampede of rhinocerous' being chased by a guy in tighty whities who was singing a song about a sparrow that flew into a church where the pastor was preaching about aliens who came to this earth in serach of the perfect girl with a black eye who shared a lot in common with you who fought off a stampede of rhinocerous'....
They'll never ask again!
;)
ice yes painful but great results

My hamsters left eye is pasted shut how anybody know any tips to help unpaste it?
r...o..f...l... the funniest thing i've ever heard of.
wash it off I guess or take it to your vet if it's some super-glue thingyMy hamsters left eye is pasted shut how anybody know any tips to help unpaste it?
what are you stupid!!!!
take it to the VET BUT NNNNNOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!!!!My hamsters left eye is pasted shut how anybody know any tips to help unpaste it?
my hamster once had this eye shut thing l broug it to the vet but its hopless but if u bring it to the vet as soon u found out abount it
Pasted shut with what? Glue? Try some warm water on a wash cloth first, hold it to the eye for about 30 secs. if that doesn't work try some peanut butter, it might work without hurting it.
This was told to me by the vet nurse but it was for a kitten but it could still be helpful to you. Dissolve salt in warm water and clean out the eye three times a day with it. I used clean cotton wool each time and i never dipped the used cotton wool back into the clean container so I could use it again later. Make new solution each time. This has helped two kittens and two cats. Hope this helps your hamster!
maybe he has a fly in his eye and wants to suffocate it.
Try a little warm water compresses and you can add a little Epsom salts as well. Even sea salt is good.My grand sons hamster had a closed eye for about two weeks. We did the warm compress routine just with the warm water and after a couple of times it loosened the **** up and opened the eye with no problems. Just a little piece of dust can trigger off more tearing and often leaves a film which starts to seal shut if not loosened. So from an old Grandma this is my suggestions for now
you should take it to the vet
Take it to a vet, genius. Be a responsible owner and caregiver.
take a face cloth and wet it with warm water and wipe it till it opens up. Go to the drug store and get an over the counter anti biotic eye drops and use those till it clears up. Should work with out a trip to the vet.
uh try taking it to a veterinarian...

Makeup tips! How to do the 'smokey eye' look? Eye lid foundation?
I've heard that you should use a foundation on your eyelids so that the eyeshadow will stay in place. What foundation do I use? Where do I get it? (Perferably cheap) and then how do i go about doing the rest of it?
Also, I have to dress up as a pirate, and I've been looking at Jack Sparrow for ideas, any other suggestions?Makeup tips! How to do the 'smokey eye' look? Eye lid foundation?
My favorite look is smokey eyes, so sexy. Yes, applying foundation on eyelids helps shadow stay longer. For the effect, you need 3 shades of greys or silvers, light, dark and medium. Also a black eyeliner and black mascara, any kind should be fine as long as its not too cheap that the makeup clumps. First, apply the foundation, then eyeliner on upper lid and lower get as close to lashes as possible, then smudge. Second, apply the darker shade one layer, top it with the medium shade, then the lighter and voila smoke eyes, don't forget to put some shimmer in the tip, where tears come from, dont know what its called but that little dip between the nose bridge and the eyes. Good luck and have fun!Makeup tips! How to do the 'smokey eye' look? Eye lid foundation?
Well, black eye liner, gray black eye shadow on the lid with a light layer of green, and under the brow light gray.Good luck! And wih the eyeliner,go out a little biit
ZA Black eye liner, smoke it out.
I have green eyes, so I usually go for a subtle smokey look. Normally, I put foundation down....I use Revlon Colorstay (but that is expensive, and stays in place really well)--then use a bit of eyeliner (Jack Sparrow's got ALOT of it on...so if you're modelling after him, it should be a pretty good amount). The smokey look always looks best in eye shadow cream....if you use powder it doesn't look as pronounced. Go to walmart, when in doubt.
For the overall outfit? I dunno....look into some gacho pants and boots!

Any tips to get rid of the darkness and puffiness from underneath the eye?
is there anything that can help get rid of the bags from under the eye like a certain cream or putting something over my eyes for a while. thanks %26lt;3Any tips to get rid of the darkness and puffiness from underneath the eye?
This can depend.
Are your bags dark circles are puffy/ sagging skin? Although there is no substitute for sleep I would recommend Arbonne International's NutriminC Re9 anti-aging eye cream. It contains kojic acid which is a natural skin lightener as well as 9 anti aging elements to help with any wrinkling/ sagging. The nanosphere technology in this product line makes it stand alone in the industry making the anti-aging elements penetrate into the skin and achieve maximum results. There are US and Swiss patents pending on this product so it has proven itself to work. The products are not only effective, they are pure, safe, and beneficial.
I have personally become quite the skin care geek due to my son's severe eczema that made me learn not only skincare but also skin function. For more information on that please visit www.babysoft.myarbonne.com.
Another thing to try representatively is avoid rubbing your eyes outward toward your ears. The skin around eyes is very elastic and will stretch over time. When rubbing your eyes or applying make up or eye cream gently pat with your ring finger.
If you are looking to cover the bags Arbonne also carries a fantastic cream concealer.Any tips to get rid of the darkness and puffiness from underneath the eye?
