Eye-shadow tips and tricks? I'm punk, btw, so most of it's dark colors, though sometimes I use bright?

Most of the time, the eye shadow I wear is either black/grey

though whenever I'm in the mood, I wear green/blue

any tips?

my eye's change color depending on the sun's rays, so I honestly don't know what color they actually are...though most of the time they seem to be blue-greenEye-shadow tips and tricks? I'm punk, btw, so most of it's dark colors, though sometimes I use bright?
A really good way to introduce colors is to apply a darker version in the crease of the eyelid, and then a brighter color blended out or on the lid itself. Apply black as liner and even a little in the crease to deepen the color accent. It will also tie in the liner and the shadow.

For example: with green, you could use a emerald green shadow in the crease and blend it so their is no 'line' and the color's smooth. Then use a dark green in the crease and along the lid - blending to the liner. Using black liner and blending a little black shadow up the outer edge of the crease will make the look a lot deeper and striking.

You can use any color with that method (royal blue w/ midnight/navy, red w/ burgundy, even yellow/gold with orange/rust) and then tie it in with the black (although you don't have to, it might help the colors deepen and fit with your usual makeup style). You can also do 'sets' of colors like green and blue, blue and purple, etc, to get different effects, or even use those colors as liners (ie: royal blue, dark blue, and then use purple and deep purple as liner and the darkest blend in the crease) and play with it to find colors that you like the look of best. I think the more you get used to having a little accent color once in a while, the more you'll want to get bold when you do it. :)

Hope that helps!Eye-shadow tips and tricks? I'm punk, btw, so most of it's dark colors, though sometimes I use bright?
I would do burnishing ... that's where you line your eyes with black and then smudge it and then apply the next color on the smudged part and below, so the colors fade into each other but are still bright at the one end and dark at the other. Lol - does that make any sense? So hard to write. Any ways, it would look great with lots of colors including:

Bright blue, turquoise or teal

Hot pink or red

bright purple

Acid green

Bright orange

Yellow

Shimmery white

Basically anything bright. It's an easy look to pull off and you can change it all the time depending on your mood.
Use the same color for eye-shadow as you are wearing. For example, if you are wearing bright purple and black, then use purple eyeshadow. To keep the punk, use A LOT of liquid eyeliner, it's more obvious and not so soft.
