Any tips on picking a good eye shodows and mascara?

I was off the make up for two years so quiet dated information. Pregnancy and small baby... don't ask!

Anyway feel ready to look after myself again - can you share your beuty news - any new products really but I do need a good eye shodows, mascara, new lip liner....Any tips on picking a good eye shodows and mascara?
congratulations! take your time getting back into the makeup routine. start simple. find a good foundation and blush (hot makeup tip for finding blush is to test it on your inner wrist--that is the best color for you), mascara and a good lip gloss. skip the lip liner--not really needed anymore.

Once you get comfortable with this then play around with different eyeshadow colors and eyeliners. you can always go to a counter in a department store and they can help you choosing the right colors for you!Any tips on picking a good eye shodows and mascara?
The best news in makeup lately is that there has been a surge in heavier pigment eye shadows. Bare minerals, even the new Max Factor line you can buy in the drugstore are a couple that come to mind. The colors are completely ';true'; when you put them on. I suggest you go to the Sephora website and take a look at the products that are voted best by consumers. That should give you a jump start on getting your look current. Good Luck!
L'Oreal's Volume Shocking mascara is good. Skip Step 1 and just use the mascara. You'll get length and thickness. Rimmel in the dark red tube is good too. The website from Paula Begoun has reviews of cosmetics and skincare products. I think it's www.cosmeticscop.com.
get a mascara thats doesnt make your lashes stick together and an eyeshadow that brings out your eyes
maybelline mascara is best

and lancome eyeliner is best
