What are some simple eye makeup tips?

I have been wearing eye liner for a while, and am getting a little tired of putting it on every day. Are there any ways to still make my eyes look bearable without using eyeliner so often? I have short, thin eyelashes and it seems like when i put just mascara on they look like sticks and clump together too much. I am going for just a natural look. What are some simple eye makeup tips?
In addition to the eyebrow brush suggestion, try scraping the length of the brush (all the way to the end of the bristles) along the edge of the mascara container, as you pull it out. This should get rid of some of the excess mascara, which tends to collect in the brush--but be sure not to pump it in and out of the container, because this will cause air to get trapped inside, thereby oxidizing the liquid, and making it even MORE clumpy.

Rather than eyeliner (which I have a hard time with as well, by the way), why not try wearing eyeshadow? Eyeshadow can have a much more effective, naural-looking result than liner, but only if it's done right. What I often do is, using an eyeshadow brush (NOT the latex wands, which come in many of today's compacts), I lightly dust the bristles in a soft brown shadow. I then apply the shadow along the crease of my eyelids, and finish the job by applying a very light, even slightly shimmery pink/ mauve to the space left above and below the brown. Next, I curl my eyelashes, and finally, I apply the mascara ( be careful not to set the wand too close to the roots of your eyelashes, either).

The effect should make your eyes pop out, but without the obvious appearance of makeup. If that's the look your after, I suggest you give this tip a try! = )What are some simple eye makeup tips?
Here are some quick eye makeup tips!

1. Apply a primer to your lids, so eyeshadow can stick to it. For a more natural look, go for pale gold, light beige, cream/vanilla, light brown, neutral shades. Apply a brown or black eyeliner to top lid and halfway on the bottom lid, smudge the lines for a more natural look. Apply brown defining mascara (one coat). (Try Urban Decay Primer Potion or Loreal De-Crease; Try Maybelline Eyeshadows, Revlon Eyeshadows, NYX Eyeshadows, or MAC Eyeshadows; Try Maybelline Define a Lash mascara)

2. Just apply mascara on top and bottom lashes if you want to just focus on your lashes. Since you have short, thin lashes, make sure you curl them with a good curler. Start from the root/base of your eyelashes and work your way up to the tip of the lashes. Doing this, you will have a nice curve. Since you have thin lashes go for a brown or black voluminizing mascara, apply 1-2 coats. (Try CoverGirl Lash Blast mascara or Loreal Voluminous)

3. To make eyes appear bigger and more awake. Apply a black liquid or pencil line on the top lid. Make the liner at the outer corner a bit thicker and dragging it into a cat eye type shape. This makes eyes more wide open. Apply a nude/peach eyeliner pencil to the waterline. Curl lashes and brush on 1-2 coats of your favorite mascara. (Try Stila Kajal Eyeliner in Topaz [%26lt;---nude/peach eyeliner]; Try Loreal Intense Liquid Eyeliner or just use your regular black pencil eyeliner)

**Applying 1-2 coats of mascara should be enough to coat the lashes. Make sure you curl them from root to tip to create a nice curve before you apply any mascara.**

These are just some techniques that I have tried and it worked. Hope this helps!
curl your lashes first with eyelash curlers, it makes your eyes bigger and your eyelashes look longer with mascara on. if you wiggle the brush outwards and blink a lot while putting on mascara it helps your lashes look thicker, or at least it works for me lol and you could always try a thin line of black liquid eyeliner close to your lashline for a ';doe-eyed'; look (:
Mascara tip.

Wipe off some of the mascara with some tissue.

Tilt your head back so you won't get any on your face.

Wiggle or Blink on the mascara brush.

This will look more natural and not clumpy. I go for the natural look too.
to unclump your eyelashes get an eyebrow brush and use the comb side to comb the eyelashes apart. that will make them look good and natural , but still pop
