I need tips on Eye-Shadows and other cosmetics. Can you give some pointers please?

I am trying to learn more about make-up and i really want to know more about eye shadows, like what brands are best, how to put them on, what makes what look good. Sry, i'm a noob at this..I need tips on Eye-Shadows and other cosmetics. Can you give some pointers please?
i have found eyeshadows can be great even if they are cheap, eyeshadow does not have to be expensive to be good!! one of my favorite ones is Sally beauty supply's own brand--99 cents! try different brushes, try blending techniques. collect colors, so that you always have a color you can wear. i even started looking at youtube tutorials to get ideas about blending and color inspirationsI need tips on Eye-Shadows and other cosmetics. a lot of people are gonna tell you mac because people seem to believe that expensive is better. try the coastal scents palettes. you can get 88 colors for 20 something bucks in a palette. The same palettes are also on ebay. Type in keywords such as 88 palette and 120 palette. I hope that helps.
I really like M.A.C makeup, it is the top of the line, but it does tend to run quite pricey. I do also use different eyeshadow products from Walmart. Mess around with the different brands to find what works best for you :)
I don't wear mac. I just wear whatever is at walmart and walgreens and it looks good. I don't think it's the brand the matters. What matters is how you put it on.
